JUNE 15: India`s Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. has ordered a $182 million jackup drilling rig from Singapore`s Keppel FELS Ltd.
The order is the fourth such contract for Keppel from an Indian customer, Marinelog.com reported Thursday.
The rig will be able to drill in 30,000 feet water depth and can accommodate 112 crewmembers.
