ASEAN, India organize 1st car rally

Member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and India will launch the first India-ASEAN car rally next week to mark blossoming ties between India and Southeast Asia.

The noncompetitive car rally had been proposed by India during the India-ASEAN Summit in Indonesia last year in a bid to raise public awareness of closer ties between the two sides and boost trade, investment and tourism links. (Kyodo News)
